They offer a ‘fun while shopping’ environment to the customer, which has made shopping at Uniqlo a convenient and enjoyable activity.
The company has a total of 23 stores in China with two recently started stores in Chengdu and Beijing. Lately the company tried out a very innovative technology to market their latest product called “heat tech inner wear”. As part of their new marketing strategy, the company distributed thousands of outfits of this product at Times Square, New York on 18th November last year to promote the inner wear. The distribution was done by deploying a large human vending machine which was operated by male and female clowns.
There were two representatives of Uniqlo also present at the spot, who wore a silver body suit and roamed around the Times Square with a thermograph scanner which recognized the cold and hot points of your body. Once this is done, one can push a button on the machine and the right product came out. With this new idea, the product was widely publicized. To know more about Uniqlo visit at www.uniqlo.co.uk
